Meadham Kirchhoff London Fashion Week Fashion FAIL

Model London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012 – Meadham Kirchhoff – Catwalk London, England. This is just extreme and not really fashion, if you ask me. Not unless you are planning on going out as IT’s cousin. There are not words. As my husband says, this is considered “high fashion” because you have to be high to wear it. WTF is this even about, totally don’t get it. I understand thinking outside the box, but this is not reality. Why even waste time on such a stupid design that no one will ever wear. Never mind the make up! Any of you wanna give this outfit a try in the real world? Hell, I would love to even see a moive this could be featured in. Complete waste of time. Best fashion fail of the year if you ask me:) Photos: www.wenn.com

Snooki Pregnant Engaged!

The pint sized fireball that is Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is apparently in for a couple of life changing events soon. She is reportedly not only pregnant but also engaged as well. Could it be true that the party girl is trading in her late nights of drinking for late night feedings? Over the past few weeks the rumor mill has been a buzzing that Snooki is preggers. Although up until last week she had denied those allegations profusely, Gossip Cop website has confirmed that she is indeed knocked up. That is not all my friends, her boyfriend and hopefully her baby daddy Jionni LaValle has put a ring on the reality TV star’s finger. You read it correctly, the girl who is known for her partying and rambunctious ways is going to be a mom and a wife. Recently Snooki talked about how she wanted to marry her beau Jionni, she knows he is the one but he needed to buy her the right size ring. Apparently he listened and got her the bling she wanted because they are engaged. Although neither a rep for Snooki or MTV has confirmed the pregnancy or engagement, Gossip Cop is usually right with [...]

Regardless of which field of modeling you want to enter and what your age group is it is essential for upcoming models interested in a career to search modelling agencies in their area. A big mistake many potential models make are to respond to casting calls for various modelling jobs, instead of consulting an established modelling agency.

What Should You Look For Before Getting an Online Piano Course?

The song "Old Man" first appeared on Neil Young's 1972 Harvest album. With its thumping and raggedly-picked acoustic guitar, high-tenor lead vocals and over-all folk sound and feel "Old Man" has become one of Neil Young's most memorable tunes. What was the inspiration behind this song and what famous musicians lent their talents to create this musical masterpiece?

The Great Rock And Roll Debate Of Singles Verses Albums

Kurt Cobain was named "the voice of Generation X", a title that he didn't appreciate well. His musical composition came as a new tune in the market at a time when pop songs such as Michael Jackson's proliferates the music scene everywhere. Right timing and good luck must have been at Cobain's side to have earned instantly the acceptance of many fans, or maybe it was his innate talent or musical genius that enabled him to weave his own kind of music that is different from the rest.

Jennifer Aniston Paul Rudd Reveal All In After Hours

There are many interesting facts about celebrities that won't be learned anywhere other than an MTV After Hours session. For instance, did you know that Aniston would totally be down to [...]

The Oscars might be the biggest night of the year in Hollywood, but it'll lack a whole lot of magic thanks to the Academy's regrettable decision to to snub "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." The conclusion to the "Potter" saga was more than deserving of a Best Picture nomination at the very least, if not a full-scale win. So, in our small way of compensating, we honored the fallen "Potter" film (as well as a bunch of 2011's other nerd-friendly movies) in this week's edition of Talk Nerdy. Check it out in the video below!

Mariah Carey Goes Au Natural In The Recording Studio

Back in November we got our first look at Mariah Carey in the recording studio and, as you may recall, she was lookin’ a bit glammed up for the occasion. Last month, we got to see new photos of Mimi in the studio with producer Jermaine Dupri … and again, homegirl was lookin’ hot. Today [...]

Whew. After a 2 week whirlwind 6 year anniversary trip turned engagement trip, David and I are finally home again in LA. Even tho we had an amazing time in NYC, then in Amsterdam, then in London, then in NYC again … it is UTTERLY fantastic to be home again. Our day yesterday was pretty standard but I did get to see an old friend in NYC before we made the long flight home.

Before David and I had to fly out of NYC, I was able to meet up with my dear friend Kerrie for a little visit. She is in NYC this week for work and we only had about an hour together … but it was great to see her. The long flight home was pretty boring. I watched Drive on my iPhone and slept the whole way. It was really nice to just be home last night, I’m telling you.

Today is Leap Day, so to celebrate … some friends and I are going to Disneyland tonight because it will be open for 24 hours today. From 6AM this morning til 6AM tomorrow morning, Disneyland will be OPEN for biz. I may be a total wreck tomorrow but it’ll be worth it. This is the first time that Disneyland and Disney World will be kept open for 24 hours straight. It should be fun.

Happy Leap Day, y’all! I hope you are making the best of this extra day :) xo

Oprahs Jimmy Kimmel Post Oscaras Appearance (Videos)

If you missed Jimmy Kimmel’s post Oscar show last night then you missed some serious laughs. Never fear though because I have a clip from the show that you will enjoy. Let me just say Oprah is back! Kimmel and Oprah teamed up to bring viewers one of this most hysterical Jimmy Kimmel shows ever. The former Queen of Daytime and Jimmy poked fun at well pretty much all things Oprah. Although there were a number of sketches on the show the premise was Jimmy pitching ideas for shows that Oprah could air on her OWN Network. As I am sure you can imagine these ideas were laugh out loud funny. I don’t know want to give too much away here because I think the segment and sketches are better watched with little expectations. That being said I have to give kudos to Winfrey and Kimmel they certainly know how to end Hollywood’s biggest night. I mean sure people are buzzing about the Oscars but seriously what people are really talking about today are those two. Side note here but who caught the commercial during the Oscars which was a Say Anything throw back featuring Jimmy and Oprah. It was [...]

Memo to Angelina Jolie: Relax!

Angelina Jolie did her best to remind America last night that she's got legs, and she knows how to use 'em. Working her black velvet Atelier Versace dress throughout the Oscars yesterday evening, the actress perpetually struck a pose with her right leg jutting out, her left hand on her hip, and her mouth in a tight smirk. She did this solo, with husband Brad Pitt ... and even when flanked by her adorable mother-in-law!

Last night Jonah Hill hosted this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live (and was mildly entertaining, nothing at all special or worth talking about, to be honest) … one of the skits caught my attention … and not for the right reasons. One of the skits featured an all caucasian cast poking fun at Japanese J-Pop culture that started out cute and funny, IMHO, but as the stereotypes kept adding up … felt more and more … wrong. Click below to check out the skit and see what I mean.

As I said, I enjoyed the skit at first … but somewhere along the way, prolly as the “Japanese accents” got more and more ridiculous, the skit started to feel … just, wrong. I’m hesitant to call it outright racist but … that thought does keep rolling around in my mind. I honestly think that if the skit were mocking Mexican culture (like Cholo/Chola culture — even tho I don’t, personally, associate with Cholo/Chola culture) then I would find the skit unfunny and very racist. The accents are what really bother me. What do y’all think? Am I being overly sensitive or do you, too feel that this skit is really just … wrong?

Celebrity Apprentice Trump Fires Sulu!

“Shields…, SHIELDS!″ Who can forget George Takei shouting those orders as Captain Sulu, commander of the U.S.S. Excelsior in the film, “STAR TREK: Generations”? But alas, George had no deflector shields to protect him from Donald Trump in Episode 3 of this season′s “Celebrity Apprentice”. Perhaps the better Takei quote would be his patented, “Oh My!” But in the true tradition of courage and grace under fire, obviously acquired during the Kobyashi Maru exercise at Star Fleet Academy, George Takei went down with his ship and assumed full responsibility for the loss by the men′s team. George Takei had a rough night in the boardroom as Donald Trump fired him from Celebrity Apprentice. Image Credit: Josiah True / Wenn.com. This week′s task was to help showcase Ivanka Trump′s new line of fashion. The teams were assigned to create window displays to show off the full range of clothes and accessories. Model Dayana Mendoza led the ladies′ team and Takei was the men′s Project Manager. George immediately divided the team into two groups, one led by Adam Corolla to handle the construction while George takes Clay Aiken, Penn Jillette and Arsenio Hall to Lord & Taylor to pick out clothing and [...]

The time to rejoice is now, friends … because Showtime has announced the premiere date of the new seasons of Dexter and Homeland. Mark your calendars for Sunday September 30 because that is the day that Dexter returns for season 7 and Homeland returns for season 2. Without question, Dexter has been one of my favorite shows (if not THE favorite) of the past 6 seasons and I am really excited for its return. I fell in love with Homeland almost immediately last year when the show debuted on Showtime and I am really looking forward to picking up the story where it left off on the season 1 finale. Click below to read the Showtime press release announcement about the return of these fantastic shows.

SHOWTIME has put together a powerful one-two punch on Sundays this fall with the premieres of its top-rated drama series’ DEXTER and HOMELAND. On Sunday, September 30th, DEXTER will make its seventh season premiere at 9:00 PM ET/PT, followed by the highly-anticipated second season of the Golden Globe®-winning drama series HOMELAND at 10:00 PM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

HOMELAND ranks as the network’s highest-rated freshman drama series ever, and was recently awarded the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama, as well as being named one of AFI’s Top Ten Television Programs of 2011. The series averaged 4.4 million weekly viewers across platforms in its first season, and its season one finale was the highest-rated finale for a freshman series in SHOWTIME history, with five million viewers across platforms. The network’s No. 1 rated series, DEXTER averaged 5.5 million weekly viewers across platforms in its sixth season, its highest rated ever. Both series will begin production this spring. HOMELAND will shoot on location in Israel and in North Carolina, and DEXTER will continue to shoot in Los Angeles. HOMELAND is a one-hour drama series that tells the story of Carrie Mathison (Golden Globe winner Claire Danes), a CIA officer dealing with bi-polar disorder, who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Nicholas Brody (Golden Globe nominee Damian Lewis), a U.S. soldier who had been missing and presumed dead for eight years, was a setup and may be connected to an Al-Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. The series also stars Morena Baccarin, David Harewood, Diego Klattenhoff, David Marciano, Navid Negahban, Jamey Sheridan, Morgan Saylor, Jackson Pace and Mandy Patinkin. HOMELAND is based on the original Israeli series “Prisoners of War,” by Gideon Raff, developed for American television by Howard Gordon & Alex Gansa. Along with Gordon, Gansa and Raff, the executive producers for season one are Avi Nir, Ran Telem and Michael Cuesta. The series is produced by FOX 21.

One of the most acclaimed shows on television, DEXTER stars Michael C. Hall, who has earned multiple Emmy® nominations as well as a Golden Globe award for his role as a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department who moonlights as a serial killer. The show has received multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for best television drama series, as well as a prestigious Peabody Award in 2008, and was twice named one of AFI’s Top Ten television series. The series also stars Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas and James Remar. John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Scott Buck, Manny Coto, Tim Schlattmann, Wendy West and Michael C. Hall are the executive producers of the series for season seven.

This is very exciting news. We know that Dexter tends to debut on Showtime with new episodes around the end of September/start of October … but it’s very nice to have a premiere date to look forward to. While Dexter season 6 wasn’t my favorite, I am DYING to see how season 7 will handle the HUGE development that occurred in the final 15 seconds of the season 6 finale (those of you who watch the show know what I’m referring to). As for Homeland, well, I just loved that show from the start. It, too, ended with a cliffhanger of sorts … I’m really looking forward to seeing how things play out in the sophomore season. September 30 is the day, y’all. Let the countdown begin.

Find the Best Ukuleles

Max Bruch was born in 1838 and died in 1920. He lived through almost the entire Romantic age of music and into the dawn of the Modern era, but he never followed the 'new' music school of Wagner and Liszt. He composed music which can be described as 'classical romantic', somewhat in the style of Felix Mendelssohn.
